Breaking Down Today's Top 10 Android Apps

The Android app market continues to thrive. According to mobile marketplace intelligence firm Priori Information, the top 10 Android apps combined deemed for more than 19 meg downloads last month, led by a game called Kick the Buddy with 2.96 1000000 downloads in June.

The remainder of the U.s. superlative 10 consists of two other games (Love Balls and Helix Jump), e-commerce app Wish, a news app, two music apps, and of course, some social and messaging apps including Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and Snapchat. But when comparison these figures with June'south tiptop Android apps globally, some interesting trends emerge.

Of the more than 306 million downloads of the top 10 global Android apps in June, half of the apps are Facebook-owned products. The global Android app downloads show how far-reaching Facebook'southward apps have get worldwide, with Facebook's 5 apps in the global meridian 10 combining for more than 172 million downloads in June.

WhatsApp led the list with 55.78 million downloads, followed past Messenger at 44.06 meg and Instagram in fifth place at 27.04 one thousand thousand. Dissimilar the US Android app listing, the global list too includes both Facebook and Facebook Lite, the pared-down version of the Facebook app made for developing countries with weaker connectivity.
